Step-by-step guide situation 3 — Packing the groceries

   When payment for the groceries is completed, the CPS system opens the ‘security gate’ to let the customer through with the empty trolley. After passing, the ‘security gate’ closes again immediately. This is monitored by a camera. At the same time, the ‘product stop gate’ and ‘privacy gate’ open and the paid products are carried by a conveyor belt to a spot behind the ‘product stop gate’, where the customer packs them.

2. 2

   The camera signals when, after packing the groceries, the customer has left the exit together with the trolley. The CPS system then closes the transaction. The system is ready to handle the groceries of the next customer.
